Little Pine Learners: Alphabet Activity Bundles
I have been following Tara from Little Pine Learners for several months. I love her cute nature themed crafts, activities, books and inspiration and really enjoy how she brings the wide, beautiful world of the outside into the hands of little kids. She is the one who told me about the Tap The Magic Tree book. I would like to share with you how much Stanley and I have enjoyed our Alphabet and Beginning Sound bundle that she created.
We received the digital bundle via email and I was able to print at home. We chose to print on card stock that we picked up while getting address labels for our Christmas cards. The card stock was nice to have when making the letters out of Play-Doh. I would say that the printing does not have to be card stock. I will probably print on regular paper next time to make it easier.
Stanley is a very creative boy who likes to build and make things. He really liked the Say it, find it, make it, write it pages. Today we did the “W” pages together while our youngest was napping. He found a piece of fake food watermelon to put in the find it box. Then his favorite part was rolling out the dough to make the letter W. I believe he really grasped how to make the letter W by making it with the dough, After we made the letter together we wrote it out. I guided him first, then we did it himself. It was not perfect, but he is getting it. I really see progress in him memorizing his letters and sounds.
We had letter beans at home that we used for the Playful Learning Alphabet bundle. It says you can use loose parts or play-doh, but we used large dried beans. He placed them all along the big W that was on the paper. It was nice to keep talking about the letter W, the sound it makes and words that begin with it. You could print this bundle on card stock and reuse it.
I am a strong believer in offering children different ways to learn and engage in their world as they learn. Tara at Little Pine Learners is doing just that. She is taking learning the alphabet to another level. She has put a lot of effort into these work sheets for parents and teachers to use. I highly recommend her alphabet bundle.
Please note, I was given this alphabet and beginning sound bundle in exchange for my review.
